Projects

Our canteen program is just one part of an integrated approach with our partners.

Clean water to improve sanitation

Good nutrition requires good sanitary conditions to ensure that illness doesn’t rob the body of it’s nutrients.

We provide funding for new wells or well improvements in each of our partner schools.

Improved toilet facilities

Access to sanitary facilities is crucial to ensure that the nutrition isn’t lost through illness. We work with our partner schools to ensure that toilet facilities are available at each of our partner schools.

Hand washing stations

Clean hands are a simple, but essential step in ensuring child nutrition. Many days of nutrition can be lost with a single bout of diarrhea. We work with local artisans to create sufficient hand washing stations for each of our partner schools. We also conduct courses in how to properly treat water before use.
